Wonders never cease....It just never ceases to amaze me the lengths that companies will go to in order to make a damned dollar. Now they are taking downer cattle and feeding them to our children in the school lunch program. Downer cattle are cattle who are unable to walk into the slaughterhouse--these cattle have been deemed by the U.S. government as unfit for human consumption, and in fact it is ILLEGAL to use them for such. However, slaughterhouses are found from time to time doing it anyway, and now one of the suppliers of the school lunch program has been caught doing it. NOT ONLY THAT, but they were abusing the downed cattle in order to get them into the slaughterhouse, by dragging them with chains, picking them up with forklifts, and hitting and kicking them in the face. Really civilized behavior. Human beings really have the capacity to be nothing more than monsters sometimes. See for yourself....
